What is a Slurry Sealer?
The MX211 Modified Emulsified Asphalt Slurry Sealer represents essential blacktop construction machinery utilized for road construction and maintenance. Embracing slurry sealing, a pivotal preventative maintenance technique for road surfaces, it incorporates emulsified asphalt, aggregates, cement filler, water, and additives. Through uniform blending, the slurry seal truck combines these elements, generating a slurry-like mixture. This amalgamation is then uniformly distributed and laid on the existing asphalt road, establishing a resilient bonded maintenance layer. This method predominantly focuses on enhancing waterproofing, skid resistance, and wear resistance of roads. It efficiently addresses various road surface issues including wear, aging, cracks, smoothness, and looseness, effectively extending road longevity. Additionally, it rectifies ruts and expedites traffic reopening. Slurry seal trucks assume a crucial role in constructing highways, high-grade roads, municipal roads, airports, and port terminals.
Main Usage:
- Maintenance and Preservation of Old Asphalt Pavements;
- Sealing of Newly Paved Asphalt Surface: Used for the subsealing of highways. After the construction of the stabilized soil layer on the highway, the slurry sealing is carried out, followed by the paving of hot asphalt surface layer, which can effectively improve the water resistance of the road surface;
- Maintenance and preservation of cement concrete pavement and bridge decks;
- Road maintenance inside tunnels, reducing the closure time for traffic, with a thin layer of sealing to not affect the clearance height inside the tunnel;
- Modified slurry seal can be easily made into various colored road surfaces to display different markings.
Why Choose MX211 Emulsified Asphalt Slurry Sealer Truck?

What is included in the truck?
The truck consists of chassis, emulsified asphalt system, working motor, aggregate system, filler system, paving box, mixing system, water system, additive system, aggregate conveying system, hydraulic system and control system.
Tank Systems (Emulsified Asphalt System, Aggregate System, Filler System & Water System)

Aggregate System:
- Hopper: 10 m3 to 12 m3. It is characterized by big tilted angle hopper wall (55 degree), UHMW polythylene liner with high polymer material inside, anti-corrosion and is easy for aggregate to get into the mixer, so vibrator is not needed.
- Aggregate feeding system: Utilizing hydraulic chain drive conveyer belt, this system shares the axle with the emulsified asphalt pump, ensuring synchronous conveyance with adjustable speed. It’s also easily detachable for maintenance purposes. With hydraulic drive, even during aggregate overload, the aggregate conveyer belt handles increased pressure, guaranteeing smooth conveyance without trackslip and maintaining accurate aggregate grading.
- Aggregate demarcation: Adjust aggregate output through adjusting hopper opening and is easy to operate.
Emulsified Asphalt System:
- Emulsified asphalt tank: 10GA steel tank with internal coating and dismountable observation window and access hole. Liquid storage tank shall also be dismountable so as to be convenient for clearance and maintenance.
- Control valve: installed at the inlet of emulsified asphalt pump and switch on/off through mixing.
Water System:
- Constructed from 10GA steel, the tank features an internal coating and a removable observation window and access hole, facilitating easy cleaning and maintenance. The water system incorporates dual autonomous pumps and a mixer for blending main and auxiliary water. This mixer includes its dedicated hydraulic motor and hydraulic system.
Additive System:
- Additive Tank: 230-liter stainless steel tank
- Feeding Pump: Stainless steel, positive displacement
- Metering Monitoring: Variable pump speed controlled by the control panel, flow metering; optional electronic sensing, digital display device.
- Feeding: Add through the water supply system before entering the mixing box.
Filler System (Optional):
- Hopper: Large-angle inclined sidewalls, suspended agitator, and cleaning door.
- Feeding System: Continuous screw feeder with on/off and reverse controls, two boxes can supply materials independently.
- Metering: The control panel can adjust the speed of the screw feeder, with a metering device.
Pumps (Asphalt Pump & Hydraulic Pump)

Asphalt Pump:
- Emulsified asphalt pump: Adopt the well-regarded Roper positive displacement gear pump from the esteemed Roper Pump company, employing hydraulic drive and coaxial linkage with the aggregate conveyer belt. This guarantees precise asphalt mixing proportions. Employ a pipe-in-pipe casing type heat exchanger and an emulsified asphalt pump to directly convey aggregate into the mixer, ensuring accurate emulsified asphalt mixing ratios.
- The emulsified asphalt pump directly transports the material into the mixer to ensure the accurate proportion of emulsified asphalt in the mixture.

Hydraulic Pump:
- Fuel Tank and Cooling: Large capacity fuel tank, engine with built-in cooler, good heat dissipation effect, liquid level temperature gauge, clean port.
- Filtration: Tank filtration, return pipeline.
- Pumps: Plunger pump drives the fine material feeding system, additive pump; Triple gear pump drives the clutch shaft, mixing box, and paving box screw feeder.
- Control: Control valves or electronic-hydraulic switches provide all necessary functions.
Mixing System

Mixer: The mixer features a dual-shaft design with 44 composite blades, driven by two hydraulic motors of equal volume. Each motor incorporates speed sensors that generate electronic pulses, which are then converted and presented on a digital ratio indicator located on the rear control panel. This indicator provides a visual of the shaft speed. Hydraulic control valves enable the adjustment of the mixing shaft angle, including the ability to reverse and vary its speed. Generally, the mixing speed, ranging from 100 to 200 revolutions per minute, is selected based on the specific mix material properties.
The bottom cylinder and mixing blades of the mixer are made of wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials and are replaceable.
Feeder: The mixer is equipped with a feeder, and the operator can choose to supply the slurry to the right, middle, or left side of the paving box. The operating platform has a forced mixing button to ensure uniform and sufficient mixing of the slurry.
Paving Box

Tailored specifically for efficient modified slurry sealing and rapid slurry mixing, this equipment boasts both horizontal and vertical mobility, accompanied by customizable adjustments. The hydraulic driving system enables manual paving width adjustments, with a versatile range spanning 2.4 to 4.3 meters, in 15-centimeter increments. The dual-height first and second scrapers consist of three adjustable sections.
Height regulation on the paving box’s sides and center is seamlessly achieved through a user-friendly steering wheel mechanism, ensuring meticulous height alignment. A dual-shaft spiral mixer within the paving box offers a broad mixing angle, eliminating dead zones and aggregate emulsification. The outcome is a flawlessly smooth and uniform paving result, complete with well-defined corners and impeccably overlapped surfaces.
Additional options include the choice between a rut paving box and a micro-surface paving box, providing users with added versatility.
