What is QLB-series Mobile Batch Asphalt Mixing Plant?
QLB-Series batch mobile asphalt mixing plant is a versatile and highly efficient mobile asphalt production unit. It is ideal for small to medium-scale projects and offers the convenience of being easily transportable between job sites. The batch mobile asphalt mixing plant provides a cost-effective solution for producing high-quality asphalt mixes on demand. Its flexibility, efficiency, and mobility make it an essential tool for road construction companies and infrastructure projects requiring frequent asphalt production in various locations. Whether it’s urban highways or rural roads, this mobile batch bitumen plant brings flexibility directly to your construction needs, surpassing traditional fixed plants.
What is the Working Process of mobile batch drum mixing?
The machine adopts a compact structure with a drying drum and a mixer integrated into a single unit. The operating process is as follows:
Metering and Conveying ➜ Lifting ➜ Drying ➜ Material Transfer ➜ Forced Mixing ➜ Discharging➜ Lifting ➜ Storage
Starting with sorting different sizes of stones, sands, and minerals into separate bins from the material yard, we then measure each mineral’s right amount. The materials from one cycle move from an oil-cooled electric drum to a conveyor belt, which takes them to the primary lifting hopper and into the drying drum. The cyclone combustion furnace’s burner generates a hot flame, blown into the drying drum by a blower, heating the drum (forward) to dry cold aggregates until they’re warm enough.
After the drum stops, its electric motor spins it in reverse, sending aggregates into the mixer through reversing spiral blades. Now, the hot asphalt, measured by a tension sensor, and stone powder, from the lifting mechanism, mix with hot aggregates. This makes a “boiling effect,” combining everything into a sticky binder, strengthening aggregate cohesion and concrete quality.
Lastly, the well-mixed hot bitumen goes to the storage bin via the secondary lifting hopper.
This whole process is controlled automatically with a programmable controller in the control cabinet, but you can also choose manual control.
Why Choose QLB-series Mobile Batch Bitumen Mix?
1. The overall structure is simple and compact, providing flexibility for easy transportation and quick installation at the desired location.
2. The control system utilizes a programmable logic controller (PLC), which enables easy debugging, operation, and centralized control. It ensures a high level of automation, stability, and reliability during operation.
3. The equipment has a wide adaptability, as the drying time can be easily adjusted to meet the heating standards for mineral materials with higher moisture content, ensuring the quality requirements of asphalt concrete.
4. The use of tension sensors for measurement control ensures accurate oil-stone ratios and allows for easy adjustments and modifications as needed.
5. The concrete products have excellent quality and consistent performance. The forced mixing enhances the blending and homogeneity of various graded materials, increases asphalt penetration, and thereby improves the quality of asphalt concrete products.
6. The fuel furnace is compact and innovative, combining the automatic burner’s fuel technology with the latest pulverized coal injection technology. This integration results in thorough combustion, high thermal efficiency, and convenient ignition.
What is included?
This machine mainly consists of a cold aggregate supply system, aggregate lifting system, drying drum, mixing system, dust collection system, stone powder lifting system, asphalt metering system, finished product lifting system, electrical control system, and pneumatic control device.
Cold Aggregate Supply System
The cold aggregate supply system includes sand and stone hoppers, a framework, conveyor rails, conveyors, reversing drums, electric drums, and weighing sensors. After weighing the aggregates, the electric drum starts, and the conveyor belt transports the aggregates into the hopper of the aggregate elevator.
Lifting System
- The aggregate lifting system includes hoppers, lifting rails, intermediate transfer hoppers, worm gear reducers, etc. Before loading, different sizes of minerals are placed in the hopper according to a certain gradation. After the worm gear reducer is started, the hopper is pulled up along the lifting rail by a steel wire rope. When the hopper reaches the unloading position, the switch on the hopper rod touches the rocker of the unloading endpoint switch, and the worm gear reducer stops powering, braking the hopper in the unloading position.
- The stone powder lifting and weighing system consist of a spiral conveyor and weighing sensors, making stone powder addition easy and accurate.
- The asphalt supply and weighing system consist of weighing sensors, an asphalt pump, and an electric motor. The system ensures accurate metering and easy adjustment, with high precision in oil-stone ratio.
- The finished hot material lifting machine includes lifting buckets, lifting rails, supports, silos, cylinders, and gate opening and closing mechanisms.
Drying System
- The drying drum consists of an imported flange, lifting blades, spiral blades, material-blocking rings, etc. The materials complete the drying process inside the drum. The lifting blades lift the materials and let them fall freely, forming a dense curtain of materials that exchanges heat with the flames. The drying drum mainly moves materials in the drying zone, and in the feeding zone, the drum rotates in the reverse direction to form a dense curtain, ensuring efficient heating.
- Burner is avaliable for coal and oil types. Customer can choose any.
Dust Collector System
- The dust collection system consists of an induced draft fan and a cyclone dust collector. The dust-laden gas enters the cyclone dust collector and separates coarse dust, which falls to the bottom. The purified gas is discharged through the cyclone’s upper part. The system uses negative pressure suction to reduce wear on the induced draft fan and extend its service life.
- Water dust collector and baghouse dust collector is also selectable.
Mixing System
The batch mixing system includes a transmission device, mixing device, mixing cylinder, discharging mechanism, oil supply system, etc. The motor drives the mixing shaft through the cycloidal pinwheel reducer via a chain to achieve mixing. The mixing shaft has mixing arms, blades, and shaft-end seals. The discharging mechanism consists of a discharging gate and a pneumatic cylinder. The sealing devices at both ends of the mixing shaft need regular lubrication.
Control System
The electrical control system centrally controls, monitors, and protects the entire machine according to its process flow. The control system utilizes a programmable logic controller (PLC), which enables easy debugging, operation, and centralized control. It ensures a high level of automation, stability, and reliability during operation. It comes with a user-friendly control panel that allows operators to monitor and control the entire production process, making adjustments as needed to achieve the desired asphalt mix.
